Yael Berkowitz

Yael is the owner and Occupational Therapist at Berkowitz TheraPeds. She is passionate about supporting children, youth, and families of all ages and abilities. Yael has volunteered and worked with various agencies and programs since she was young encouraging children to learn, develop, and engage in their environments.

Yael is energetic, dedicated, and creative. She strives to form connections with the children and families with whom she works, building on their strengths, increasing confidence, and encouraging continued growth. Yael specializes in developing strategies to support emotional regulation, sensory processing, learning through play, communication skills, and executive functioning. She has been fortunate to work with several First Nations around Manitoba and within school,community, and clinical settings. She has participated in continued education opportunities focusing on trauma-informed care, yoga, independent living skills and more.

When not working as an Occupational Therapist, Yael enjoys walking her dog Eddie, hiking, playing word games, and thrift shopping. She looks forward to the opportunity to support your children and family through play, open-communication, creativity, and strength-based learning!
