Amy

 

Amy graduated from the University of Manitoba with her Masters degree in
Occupational Therapy in 2006. 

Amy has vast experience assessing and treating people of all ages with numerous
physical and mental health conditions across various health settings. She has spent
most of her career working in Winnipeg and spent a year working in Australia.

Amy spent over a decade volunteering as an Occupational Therapist with a therapeutic horseback riding program for children and youth. She spent a decade and as the Clinical Service Leader for a public hospital focusing on providing quality patient care.

Amy has a passion for teaching mindfulness, calming & coping strategies and various
life skills. She values life long learning and has taken many specialized educational
opportunities including having intensive training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. 

Amy works in Child and Adolescent Mental Health facilitating Cognitive Behaviours
Therapy groups and teaching classes. She supports children and their families to gain a better understanding of their functioning and learn skills to improve their anxieties and overall quality of life. Amy values the importance of meeting people where they are at and helping them set short and long term goals.

She enjoys spending time with her twins playing games, exploring and trying new
things. 

Amy is looking forward to opportunity to further support children and families on this
journey of life.
