Shiri

Shiri is the Physiotherapist at Berkowitz TheraPeds. She graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Master’s of Physical Therapy in 2019 after completing a 3-year major in Physical and Health Education from the University of Winnipeg in 2017. From an early age, Shiri has shown a passion for working with individuals of all abilities to succeed in their goals and fulfill their full potential.

As a Physiotherapist, Shiri has primarily worked with preschool and school-aged children all around Manitoba using a family-centred approach. She has had the privilege of working with several First Nations communities in Manitoba, both in preschool and school settings. Shiri strives to bring energy, creativity and play into every Physiotherapy session. With a drive to continue learning, Shiri has taken part in a variety of courses including The American College of Sports Medicine Autism Exercise Specialist program as well as KinActive Kids Building Blocks course.

When Shiri is not working she enjoys walks with her dog Ollie, being physically active through a variety of workouts and sports (newest one being Pickle Ball!), travelling, cooking and playing games with friends and family!

She can’t wait to have the opportunity to continue working with families all across Manitoba to find fun ways to get everyone moving to their best abilities!

The Berkowitz TheraPeds team acknowledges that we live, work, play, and connect on the traditional territories of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. We acknowledge that our water is from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation. In response to the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action, we commit to learning and understanding the trauma and harms experienced by Indigenous Peoples. We strive to listen, learn from and collaborate with Indigenous Peoples and Communities.
